In 2023 the main stage was constructed in the outdoor sports area in Asiat Park, named State Of Play designed by Stand Van Zaken. As Stand Van Zaken draws inspiration from ordinary and sometimes even ‘ugly’ building materials, the central building element around which the main stage’s design revolves are concrete sewage pipes. After being the framework for a festival dance floor, these monumental columns continue to function as pedestals for streetlights, plants and artworks from emerging and established artists. This year, again six artists were invited to present work during the whole Summer: Fabiola Burgos, Ian de Weerdt, Leander Schonweger, Leyla Aydoslu, Štefan Papčo and Tramaine de Senna

All the artists are alumni of HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts) and were invited by .TheWorkshop.

.TheWorkshop, the former production team of HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts), started a new support workshop for the broader artistic community in the Brussels periphery and beyond. Drawing on their many years of accumulated experience and expertise, and with a wide range of machinery at their disposal, they aim to support artists in the realization of challenging productions and projects. In parallel, they seek to offer artistic-technical guidance, train skills, and create networking opportunities.

In 2024 .TheWorkshop emerged from HISK, which temporarily ceased its activities in January 2024, and established itself in March at the makerspace in Asiat Park along with professional makers and artists. The makerspace is the production warehouse of Asiat Park. Are you a professional carpenter, woodworker, welder, scenographer, artist, ... and looking for a workplace? Do you want to be part of a creative ecosystem, share knowledge, and broaden your network? Then this is the place to be.

In 2023 werd voor de eerste keer een tijdelijk hoofdpodium gebouwd in de sportstraat in Asiat Park, genaamd State Of Play, ontworpen door Stand Van Zaken. Aangezien Stand Van Zaken inspiratie haalt uit gewone en soms zelfs 'lelijke' bouwmaterialen, zijn de centrale bouwelementen in het ontwerp van het hoofdpodium de betonnen rioolbuizen. Na als basis te hebben gediend voor een festivalpodium, blijven deze monumentale kolommen functioneren als sokkels voor buitenverlichting, planten en kunstwerken van opkomende en gevestigde kunstenaars.

Dit jaar werden opnieuw zes kunstenaars uitgenodigd om gedurende de hele zomer werk te presenteren: Fabiola Burgos, Ian de Weerdt, Leander Schonweger, Leyla Aydoslu, Štefan Papčo en Tramaine de Senna.

Alle kunstenaars zijn alumni van HISK (Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten) en werden uitgenodigd door .TheWorkshop.

Het voormalig productieteam van het HISK startte een nieuwe begeleidende werkplaats voor de brede artistieke gemeenschap in de Brusselse rand en daarbuiten. Aan de hand van hun jarenlange opgebouwde ervaring en expertise, en met een ruim machinepark ter beschikking, wil het kunstenaars ondersteunen in de realisatie van uitdagende producties en projecten. Parallel wil het artistiek-technische begeleiding bieden, vaardigheden trainen en netwerkmogelijkheden creëren.

.TheWorkshop is gegroeid uit het HISK dat sinds januari 2024 zijn activiteiten tijdelijk heeft stopgezet en heeft zich in maart gevestigd in de makerspace in Asiat Park samen met professionele makers en kunstenaars. De makerspace is de productieloods van Asiat Park. Ben je een professioneel schrijnwerker, houtbewerker, lasser, scenograaf, kunstenaar, … en op zoek naar een werkplek? Wil je deel worden van een creatief ecosysteem, kennis delen en je netwerk verbreden? Dan is dat waar je moet zijn.
