Visit 'To Have or To Hold'
The new Horst Expo titled 'To Have or To Hold' has finally opened its doors. It offers a unique blend of art, nature, and leisure at the lush Asiat Park—basically all you need for a lovely weekend out. The expo runs until 8th September 2024, and is weekly open from Thursday to Sunday between 12h00 and 20h00. Entrance is completely free, thanks the support of the National Lottery and its players! Here's what you need to know:
Free guided tours
To fully immerse yourself in "To Have or to Hold," join our free guided tours available every Saturday and Sunday in Dutch, French or English. Tours start at 15h00 and take approximately an hour and a half.
Group tours on demand
For groups of less than 15 people, the rate is 75 euros. For groups of 15 or more, the rate is 120 euros. For groups larger than 30 people, rates start at 150 euros and include two or more guides. Please contact info@horstartsandmusic.com to make reservations.
Programme
To Have or To Hold showcases artworks and installations by Afrah Shafiq, Every Island & Flore Fockedey, Luca Vanello, Maëlle Dufour, Piovenefabi, Rachel Daniëls, Sheila Hicks, Stand van Zaken & Serban Ionescu. Additionally, there are are several installations permanently on view, which were part of earlier Horst exhibitions over the years. Drinks and bites
Your expo visit can most perfectly be combined with a refreshing drink or energising bite at Bar Bâtard. They run the renewed Officer's bar, which next to being part of our expo programme is—you guessed it—a fully functioning summer bar as well. From Thursday to Sunday, they offer freshly made sourdough pizzas too.
How to get there
You have plenty of options to reach Asiat Park:
Bike
Take the scenic route to Horst along the river the Zenne and travel by bike. (Knooppunt 14 Vlaams-Brabant). You can park your bike at our bicycle parking near the entrance at Mechelsesteenweg 255, 1800 Vilvoorde.
Train
The nearest train station to Asiat Park is Vilvoorde Station. There are plenty of connections to all Flemish cities.
Bus
At the Vilvoorde bus station you can take bus 280 or 282 to "Vilvoorde Kerkhof"
Car
You can park for free in the neighbourhood around the Asiat Park. The nearest streets are Cyriel Buyssestraat, Willem Elsschotstraat and Mechelsesteenweg.
