The Music Lab at Nachtplan brought together over two dozen participants to explore the questions of community, care and safer spaces in nightlife. Drawing on their own experiences, they shared how this approach offers a meaningful alternative to escapism, while examining practical aspects like awareness teams, substance harm reduction, event management, and space design.

Through group sharing, physical movement and meditative release, ample time was dedicated to developing the emotional and relational skills crucial to implementing such policies... This holistic approach—combining music and community care—created a shared sense of responsibility as artists, promoters, and audience, highlighting how our craft can affect and transform people’s daily lives long after we leave the party.
