J BOY’s work flows through the body and across different mediums such as text, sound, installation, textile, and performance. All of these give her the freedom to express the different glitches and perspectives of our brain.
Shoes are like drifting tires, breathing is a purring engine, and words are acceleration. J diverts the entire lexical field of the crash to embrace the failure, drawing a parallel between the body and the car being pimped and Bulking.
After graduating in Fine arts she got to be involved in different projects in underground night clubs, galleries and national theater productions, in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.
Through her transdisciplinary practice, she explores the transformative physicality of violence, dysphoria, love and community, turning that violence into something that unfolds us! Something that makes us feel ready for the fight, ready to share and express.
J BOY’s work revolves around love, tolerance and self-acceptance.
