Dear neighbour,

As you may already know, the 11th edition of the Horst Arts & Music Festival takes place at Asiat Park on Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd, and Saturday 3rd of May 2025. Horst is a three-day celebration of art, music, and architecture, featuring 8 stages, more than 700 volunteers, and around 145 artists, architects, and musicians from Belgium and abroad. This year, we expect about 11,000 visitors each day. The festival is nearly sold out, with around 3,000 visitors staying at the camping site in Rolleveld Park.

Horst Arts & Music is organised by Onkruid BV and vzw De Onderstroom in partnership with the city of Vilvoorde. Through this exhibition and festival, Horst aims to contribute to the cultural and spatial development of Asiat Park.

The Horst Expo aims to artistically activate Asiat Park throughout the summer. We hope to attract residents of Vilvoorde and visitors from outside the city, introducing even more people to this unique location. This year's exhibition, "There Will Come Soft Rains", is inspired by the poem of the same name by Sara Teasdale (1918). It describes how, despite the devastation of World War I and a flu epidemic, gentle rain continues peacefully, allowing spring to flourish. The exhibition invites reflection on how we can move from conflict and decay towards a harmonious future.

The expo will open festively during the festival and reopen on May 15th, remaining freely accessible until September 7th, from Wednesday to Sunday. Guided tours (NL/FR) are available on weekends. Horst will also organise a Summer Club on August 14th and 15th. More practical details can be found at www.horstartsandmusic.com.
