Studio Vaessen is the father-daughter DJ duo of dad Ger and his oldest daughter Vera aka seja. In her earliest years, Vera was fed a diet of Kraftwerk, Shostakovich and Sex Pistols on a daily basis by her father Ger. This must have played a big part in her becoming a DJ who has now played for the likes of Club Siblings in Brussels, Freaky Dancing in Utrecht and Intergalactic FM in Den Haag. More recently, Vera started the project Studio Vaessen with Ger, as a vehicle for sharing their joint passion for weird and not-so-weird music with others, and hoping to inspire other child-parent duos to do the same. They have a residency at Microwave Radio and will be bringing their family energy with them when they join us at this year’s Horst Festival.
