Door person

Job description

• Greet guests with calm and warmth at the door
• Communicate the space’s values, boundaries and care guidelines in an accessible way
• Spot signs of distress or escalation and flag to the security and collective care lead if needed
• Work closely with ticketing, collective care and club managers to keep flow and communication smooth
• Share the spirit of the club: a space for joy, respect, connection and care

Profile

• Is confident speaking to large groups and addressing people clearly and calmly
• Understands how power dynamics work at the door and takes that responsibility seriously
• Can hold boundaries gently, but firmly
• Has experience in nightlife, events, collective care or peer support
• Can think quickly and stay calm under pressure
• Is comfortable standing for long periods and working night hours
• Is available for all (or most) of the five club weekends:
  October 4–5, November 22–23, December 31–January 1, February 14–15, March 14–15 (negotiable)
• Comfortable communicating in English
