LEPORELLO is a floor that unfolds, made up of seven sculpted square surfaces operating by complementarity.
These seven free forms respond to each other and come together to create a common figure, a continuity of line and movement, designed to hybridize festive practices and skateboarding. These platforms freely express everyday spatial situations, tableaux exploring our way of inhabiting the contemporary city through sequenced anecdotes as in situ sculptures.
These geometric abstractions are cast from reused concrete taken from the site's original, dysfunctional skate elements, with a colored pigment enhancing the reading of these fragments. Smoothed or grainy, the texture produces a dynamic surface. Defined with users, its forms (curves, straights, layers, lines...) and functions merge and complement each other in a scenic space with an enhanced festive character.
Materials:
Partially reclaimed concrete mixed with new concrete, reinforcement steel and blue pigment.

Jean Benoît Vétillard (1984, Domfront en Poiraie, France) is an architect based in Paris, founder of JBVA. The studio questions the architectural design process as much as the built reality, exploring the path as much as the destination. It strives to treat the different scales of architecture, scenography and design without any preconceived hierarchy.

He teaches architecture and design at the Ecole d'architecture de la ville et des territoires de Paris Est. In 2018 he was awarded the national prize Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes.

'LEPORELLO' est un sol qui se déplie, constitué de sept surfaces carrées sculptées opérant par complémentarités.
Ces sept formes libres se répondent et s'assemblent pour former une figure commune, une continuité de ligne et de mouvement, destinée à l'hybridation des pratiques festives et du skate. Ces plateformes expriment librement des situations spatiales quotidiennes, des tableaux explorant notre manière d'habiter la ville contemporaine, au travers d'anecdotes séquencées.
Sculptures in situ, ces abstractions géométriques sont réalisées en béton de site issu du réemploie, un pigment coloré amplifie la lecture de ces fragments. Lissé ou désactivé, sa matière produit une surface dynamique. Définies avec les usagers, ses formes (courbes, droites, strates, lignes...) et ses fonctions se fondent et se complètent dans un espace scénique au caractère festif augmenté.

Jean Benoît Vétillard (1984, Domfront en Poiraie, France) est un architecte basé à Paris et fondateur de JBVA. L’atelier questionne la démarche de conception architecturale autant que la réalité bâtie, il explore le parcours autant que la destination. Il s’évertue à traiter les différentes échelles de l’architecture, de la scénographie et du design, sans hiérarchie préconçue.

Il enseigne l’architecture et le design à l’École d'Architecture de la ville et des territoires de Paris-Est. En 2018, il a reçu le prix national Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes.

LEPORELLO' is een vloer die zich ontvouwt en bestaat uit zeven gebeeldhouwde vierkante vlakken die werken door complementariteit.
Deze zeven vrije vormen reageren op elkaar en komen samen om een gemeenschappelijk figuur te creëren, een continuïteit van lijn en beweging, ontworpen om feestelijke praktijken en skateboarden te hybridiseren. Deze platforms geven vrij uitdrukking aan alledaagse ruimtelijke situaties, tableaus die onze manier van leven in de hedendaagse stad onderzoeken door middel van opeenvolgende anekdotes.
Deze geometrische abstracties, 'in situ sculptures', zijn gemaakt van hergebruikt stortbeton, met een gekleurd pigment dat de lectuur van deze fragmenten versterkt. De textuur, gladgestreken of gedeactiveerd, zorgt voor een dynamisch oppervlak. De vormen (rondingen, rechte stukken, lagen, lijnen...) en functies, gedefinieerd door gebruikers, smelten samen en vullen elkaar aan in een scenische ruimte met een versterkt feestelijk karakter.

Gedeeltelijk teruggewonnen beton gemengd met nieuw beton, wapeningsstaal en blauw pigment.

Jean Benoît Vétillard (1984, Domfront en Poiraie, Frankrijk) is architect in Parijs en oprichter van JBVA. De studio stelt zowel het architectonische ontwerpproces als de gebouwde realiteit in vraag en onderzoekt zowel het pad als de bestemming. Het streeft ernaar de verschillende schalen van architectuur, scenografie en design te behandelen zonder vooropgezette hiërarchie.

How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
